A Dog to Remember

Our beloved Kona passed away on September 7th at the age of 7. The cause of death is undetermined but was likely due to heart failure. Kona appeared in perfect health the day he died and it came as a shock to all of us. As we came home to a quiet house today with no wagging tail to greet us, we realized the magnitude of our loss.

Kona was sweet, gentle, kind, and loving. We always said he was born a lap dog in the wrong body! He would give us little nudges while we sat on the couch to remind us he cared, and when playing would give us "little bites" as a sign of affection. He loved his walks and was so happy when we would go around Greenlake, I swear he grinned from ear to ear. He was very proud of his family and was a great protector.

Kona you will be missed. We love you more than you will ever know. Although life may have gotten hectic and walks became less frequent, there wasn't a day that went by that we didn't apprecate your love. Rest in peace brownie, nonus, nona, super brown, big super pooper, K-man! We love you!!!!!!

What a beautiful tribute to dear sweet Kona. Little did you know when you rescued him from the shelter what an inpact he would have on your lives. He was the best friend, companion and playmate you could have asked for. My heart is filled with sadness and is aching -- because I loved Kona too. He will alway have a place in our hearts and his memory will live on forever.
Kona -- gone too soon.
All my Love, Nana

Bryan, Tara and Gavin,
Our hearts are filled with such sadness at the loss of our dear sweet and gentle Kona-
Not only did you show him true love when you rescued him from the shelter, but he returned it every day with such excitement to all. He was an "Awesome Dog" and we all will miss him.
Rest in peace sweet Kona-
We Love and Miss you All,
