What's happening...

What has been up with the Stone's the last month or so?  Let me fill you in. First we had some problems with our computer.  Our tech support guy was busy with his day job so we had to take a back seat until he had some openings....as you can see we are up and running again!

Next, Gavin and Andrew are starting to play together.  This is HUGE and let me tell you, so fun to watch.  G, for the most part, is very sweet with Andrew and helps him with games, and calms him when he gets frustrated, and is pretty tolerant of playing "baby games."  In the same breath I can tell you that they still fight, and now Andrew is fighting back.  I know this is only the begining of "brotherly love" so I can only imagine what fights will look like in the teenage years!!!

Andrew continues to make us laugh often! He has some really funny mannerisms.  For example he will hold his arms up in the air when someone does something silly as to say "what in the heck is that guy doing?"  There is a video below that shows some of his silliness!  He likes to run around as naked as he can...which usually means diaper and socks.  He wants to do everything himself, like putting on socks, shoes, coat, etc.  The only problem is that he physically can't do those things yet!

He loves, loves, loves to dance.  He jams to his Grover microphone, plays his harmonica, bangs on the floor like their drums.  You name it he does it!  His favorite thing of all right now is to dance to Patty Shukla on YouTube.  www.pattyshukla.com  He will walk to the TV console, find the remote control, bring it to us, and point while grunting to the TV.  It is very cute but we must admit the songs are getting pretty old!

Andrew's vocabulary is still very limited but there is no question that he understands everything we are saying and he is doing a pretty good job converying what he wants.  Right now he can use sign language to tell us "more, all done, up, and stop."  He can say with some clarity "ball, mama, hot, more, and on."  His favorite word and the cutest is his version of "yes."  When you ask him a question he will either shake his head no, or say "ummmmmm yea!"

It was raining but he insisted on driving!
Gavin continues to make us laugh as well.  He says the funniest things sometimes.  He came home one day from preschool to tell us he has a girlfriend.  The other day he had to "deal with her" in line because she was mad that older girls were talking to him on the play ground.  Um what????  They are 4 years old people!

Gavin has started a chore chart at home and is really excited to help around the house.  He puts away the silverware, makes his bed, picks up his toys, and is trying to reduce the 'potty talk.'  The last bit is driving Bryan and me crazy.  We know it is part of growing up, but boy does it get old.  Conversations these days go something like this:

Me:  Gavin what would you like for lunch?
G:  Nothing
Me:  How about a peanut butter and jelly sandwich?
G:  How about a peanut butter and poopy sandwich (followed by uncontrollable laughter)

Gavin currently is obsessed with the little leggos and wants to build them all the time.  He is also into painting, cutting, drawing, playing with mazes and puzzles, and playing board games with mom and dad!

Finally we have been enjoying some great weekends at the cabin.  It is nice to get away and unwind without television or internet.  We have been enjoying playing outside, going for hikes, and mostly just sitting by the fire and playing with the kids.  I really couldn't ask for much more!

Oh how I miss my two cute little boys. It looks like you are having fun together. Especially at the cabin riding around in the jeep. Andrew you are a funny one. I enjoyed the video of you. I am looking for flights to come visit you -- sometime this spring. Can't wait to play with the two of you. Til then I'm sending my love, hugs, and kisses, Nana
