Gavin had his 3 year check up at the doctor on September 13th. He is growing like a weed...but we already knew that as he is eating us out of house and home! He weighs 38 1/2 lbs (95th%) and is 40 1/2 inches tall (95th%). The doctor was impressed by Gavin's personality and his ability to have a conversation. She also "guessed" that he has only 2 speeds.....running and sleeping. She was right on! Although we admire Gavin's energy and wish we could bottle it up for ourselves...we also find ourselves very very tired in the evenings :) He was trooper when he had to get 2 shots and flu mist up the nose. I think he was a bit shocked when the shots went in his leg. He played it off well, but looked at me like "what the heck is going on!"
In other news, Gavin is doing well at school and appears to really like it. He comes home each day with a new craft or art project that he is very proud to show off. He also now prefers to be called "Buzz Lightyear." Apparently the space ranger has taken over my son for a short time. Also, in preparation for his little brother, Gavin has a baby that he totes around everywhere he goes. He is actually very sweet with the baby and takes care of it like a pro. We'll see how it goes when the "real deal" arrives!!!!

Our little Gavin sure is growing up. He sounds like he is a handful -- but I know all about how his mind works and the funny things that come out of his mouth -- He can make frustration turn into giggles. He sure is quite the character. So glad he is learning how to take care of a little brother -- but like you said -- we will see. See you all soon. Nanners
